Football players running across the field. Cheerleaders flip and stunt through the air. Touchdown! The Cardinals dominated the Kirkpatrick football team, beating them 32-0, and Rosemont 42-6.
In our first home game of the season with cheerleaders, our Cardinals did phenomenally! 8th-grade quarterback Rory Bookout recognized star running backs Tucker Treger and Jaiden Diaz, and receiver Grey Gilbert. Player Ryder Farish said, “There were many good plays on offence and defense. Some were a pick by Eric Wortman that stopped Kirkpatrick from scoring. We are playing Lenard Middle School at Western Hills on Tuesday.” They won their game against Lenard, 40-26
The 7th-grade team performed exceptionally well, with quarterback Jack Hutchison carrying the team. It was a well-played game, with the final score being McLean 42 and Rosemont 6. Their next game is on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Creighton Cooper, a 7th-grade running back, said, “We won 58-6,” and that Hunter Williams and Julian Paredes were some excellent players. 7th grade also won their football game on October 6, 2026, 42-0.

Our cheer team did fantastic at their first game of the season! The pyramids were wonderful at halftime, the tumbles after each touchdown, and Cardinal spirit filled the air. Evan Wortsmith, 8th-grade base, said, “I think our performance was really good, but we still have a lot of improvements to make, and our next one will be even better! Cheering at games is so much fun, and I really love to cheer on the football team!“
Thank you so much to Coach Sisk, Bridges, Mosley, and Womble for guiding and teaching the players. And don’t forget, the season is just starting, so every Tuesday, ask a friend when you can support your Cardinal football teams.
