The beginning of the season started very well for the eighth-grade girls, even though both teams lost to Benbrook. In Coach Snyder’s words, “The girls were very athletic, but their weakness is that some girls know more about the game than others. I am also very excited to see the girls grow [as players] and to grow as a person as well.” Lula Allen is an eighth-grade B team player, and she stated, “I am really excited for the upcoming tournament, and Coach Snyder has prepared us well for it.” A-team star player Blakely Black felt the team, “tried our hardest and did great even though we didn’t win.” The Cardinals will have many games this season, so let’s cheer on our volleyball all-stars!
The seventh-grade volleyball team has started well, also playing Benbrook. Coach Rath told us, “All teams were incredibly competitive and talented.” In the words of Coach Aguirre, “Super excited for this group of girls. Our Cardinals had a great first game; we are so proud of them!” Dixie Saltsman, who is the team’s outside and middle, told us, “I’m looking forward to getting reps and to get to spend more time with my teammates, and I’m excited for the tournaments”. The 7th-grade B team Cardinals won all of their sets on August 26, 2026! So stay tuned for any new games so you can support them. Go Cardinals!
