Hi! I’m Clara, an 8th grader and a new member of the school newspaper and yearbook team. When I’m not at school, I am usually reading, writing, and always playing volleyball. I play on the 8th grade A team as well as club outside of school. Volleyball to me gives me drive, motivation, teamwork skills, and a stronger mental head space.

Writing is a fun hobby for me because it gives me the freedom to express my thoughts, share important ideas, and show my creativity in my own personal way. I like that I can take whatever I’m thinking or feeling and turn it into something others can connect with.

I’m excited to be part of the newspaper and yearbook team and look forward to creating stories, capturing what makes McLean special, and being part of something that will have a lasting impact!
