Listen up Cardinals! We’re thrilled to introduce the new McLean morning announcement crew for the 2026-2027 school year! The brand new crew consists of Emma Provencio (8th grade), Adeline Arbour (8th grade), Adelanny Gonzalez Ontiveros (8th grade), and Jesus Navarro (7th grade). If you’re wondering who you are listening to every day, Jesus Navarro and Adelanny Gonzalez Ontiveros will be on the announcements every day, and Adeline Arbour will be speaking on A days while Emma Provencio on B days!
Our enthusiastic announcement leader, Adelanny Gonzalez Ontiveros exclaims, “I am happy that I got to do the announcements again this year!” Emma expressed her feelings of both excitement and nervousness, saying, “I was feeling excited but also nervous at the same time. What if I sounded corny or cringey?” Jesus Navarro agreed, stating, “I was nervous but excited because I stuttered a lot.” While Adeline Arbour adds nostalgia, expressing, “It was bittersweet because it reminded me of when I used to do the announcements in elementary school.”
