Are you wondering who makes that delicious smell that we smell every day? Well, thank the lunch ladies!
There are four lunch ladies, and they all work hard to serve us lunch. They all have an important role in the cafeteria. Marisela said, “I get here at 8 am to prepare the food for all the students, and to try to get most of everything ready for tomorrow”
Marisela said she picked this job because the old school she used to work at closed down, so she decided to come to McLean. One of Marisela’s favorite things about her job is feeding the kids after they work so hard learning. The best part of her day is getting off work early. The most stressful part of her job is when they have broken equipment, and they have to get it fixed immediately. It takes them 6 hours to make the food, and the rest of the day to start preparing it for the next day. But overall, they make the food with love. Thank you for always making sure we are fed.
