As the school year approaches, supplies seem to vanish from every store in sight. Here in this article, you can learn how to take care of your computer, writing utensils, and IDs. Taking care of your belongings is essential to save time, money and convenience!
First, your computer is kindly provided by your dear librarian Ms. Wiegreffe, but you are fully responsible if it breaks or a friend or anyone in that matter breaks your device. You will be held liable and you will have to pay for the broken computer because it is your duty to take care of it and look after it. Another thing to note is slamming your computer or the keys down too hard. It will break if it gets to a certain point! Also, eating crumbly or fragile food and snacks will get it dirty in between the keys and screen, along with drinks, so be careful when you’re having a snack! If your computer is in a horrible state from being broken, you will have to pay full price to get it replaced. With that noted, please take care of your computers!
Secondly, the school supplies that teachers provide you. There should not be any sightings of pencils being broken in half, or littering the halls. A way you can prevent this is keeping your supplies such as pencils, highlighters, glue sticks and more in a safe pencil case. Some of these supplies are usually provided by teachers with their own money that they don’t have to spend, so please take care of them!
Thirdly, our badges/IDs. This is important because it is a crucial part of the dress code, and we need this so we can go outside to have fun, scan for books in the library, scan for food in the cafeteria, etc! Make sure to pay attention to the metal piece of the badge, it can get disconnected or cut through the plastic. Another thing is that it needs to be around your neck and not in your belt loop, in your backpack, or in your hands. It should not be swung around, mainly because it is a hazard to the people around you! It needs to be around your neck at all times until it is time to go home. If you don´t have your ID, you can report to the office and get a sticker with your name on it for the day. At the end of the school day, put your badge safely in your backpack so you do not forget it the next day of school.
For all that matter, we should do our best to take care of our school supplies and not be so rough with them. This is just a reminder that we should keep taking care of our supplies we have or have been given to us. Have a good school year, cardinals!
