Based on the books by Suzanne Collins, “The Hunger Games” offers the perfect mix of sci-fi and action. The movie is about a girl named Katniss who lives in the harsh country of Panem, where every year 1 girl and 1 boy from each district are placed in an arena where they are forced to fight to death on live TV. When Katniss’ sister’s name is called for the games she bravely steps up and volunteers to take her place. Now she must survive in the deadly conditions of the arena without getting killed by the other contestants.
3. Scream (1996 – 2023 Horror/Mystery)
Still bored? If your parents approve, this movie franchise can fix that! The movie series is about a group of friends in which two are mysterious killers that have taken their love of scary movies one step too far. Sydney and her friends must defeat the killers. The only problem is she can’t defeat them if she doesn’t know who they are. The reveal will thrill you as much as the horrifying murders by the killers in the ghostface mask.
4. Inside Out 2 (2024 Family/Comedy)
If you haven’t seen Disney’s original “Inside Out”, you need to fix that ASAP. Since the original “Inside Out” was so good, I didn’t have high hopes for the sequel. But when I saw it in the theaters I completely changed my mind. The story is about the emotions inside Riley’s head. When Riley turned 13 she started to change. New emotions began to pop up. The lead emotion, Anxiety, attempted to do what was best for Riley by throeing the old more “basic” emotions out of headquarters! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, must find their way back to headquarters before Riley loses touch of her friends.
5. The Conjuring [Universe] (2013 – 2025 Horror)
If your parents are willing to take the risk of letting you sleep in their room, then, and only then, should you watch the horrifying universe of “The Conjuring”. The movies are based off of a true story. They include creepy dolls, demonic nuns, possessed people, demon infested houses, and many more horrors. I would tell you the story but then your parents would hunt me down so I’ll just list the order to watch the movies…

The contestant who makes the best cake wins the first round and gets the golden bakers hat for the next round! It’s so funny to see the bakers fail ans you might actually (kind of) feel bad for them.

Imagine you leave your home for 12 hours to see family. When you come back, your house is completely transformed on the inside and out! That is the magic of Danielle Brooks’ team. Danielle and her team spend months planning for an event where they go to a good person’s home and make their house as beautiful as their heart in only twelve hours! It will make you so happy to see the reactions of the home owners as well as jealous for the awesome new home they get to live in.

“Stranger Things” is dark, scary, romantic, thrilling, and adventures all at the same time. The story is set in the 1980s. Foolish scientists open a portal to another dimension called the Upside Down. Eleven, a girl with telekinetic powers, escapes the lab where she is held captive as a specimen and finds the friends of a boy named Will who was abducted by a creature in the Upside Down. She must work with her new friends to save Will. You will love this series that is, if your parents approve.

Based on the books by Lemony Snicket, the story is about three children, named Violet, Klaus, and Sunny whose wealthy parents perished in a dreadful fire that destroyed their home. They are sent to live with a horrible man named Count Olaf who is after their enormous fortune. They are sent to guardian after guardian only to fall into mischievous plans of the Count.
