Book Recommendations

 

In our extensive library, there are a few books that stand out to our librarian the most. One for every genre and feel. These are some hand-picked book from our librarian, Mrs. Truss. If you’re looking for;

 

Romance- Dumplin, The Fault In Our Stars

Non-Fiction- Fingerprints; dead people do tell tales, anything true crime

Adventure- The Raft, The Scourge 

Horror- Revenge of the Witch, Monster Molygist, and books by R.L Stein

Realistic Fiction- Eleanor and Park

Manga/graphic Novel- I am Princess X

Sports- Books by Michleu Pika and Tim Green

Mystery- When

Sci-Fi- The Testing (very similar to Hunger Games)

Fantasy- Fable Haven

Librarians Favorite Authors- Brandon Mull, Sarah Jane Moss, Merissa Mier, KeraKass, April Henry, Jennifer L Armentrout, and Allen Grats

Librarians Favorite Genres- Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Mystery 

Librarian picks- Between Shades of Gray; During the Holocaust, the Russians persecuted the Lithuanians, and not many people know about this, so you can get an exciting plot, and bring some awareness to our history.

Underrated pick- Unwind

Popular books- Hunger Games, Twilight, The Fault in our Stars, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Wonder

Challenging Reads- The classics; To Kill a Mockingbird, The Scarlet Letter, Teletry Cities

Easy Reads- I Survived series, and all picture books
