Hello, cardinals. As of writing this, it’s been about 2 weeks since Winter Break. I can imagine it’s been quite rough adapting back to a school environment. Some of you are probably wanting to be at home lounging again. And that’s a very relatable feeling. I personally long for even an iota of peace and a work-free day. (Maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but whatever).
But with the FWISD calendar, I’m here to inform you about future days off and what we can expect! Without further ado, let’s see when we can kick back and relax.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day · January 20th
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is approaching, and it’s happening this month! It will be happening on a Monday, which you’ll see is pretty typical for days like these. For those who don’t know (you should know at this point but I’ll elaborate anyway) Martin Luther King Jr wrote an infamous speech known as “I Have A Dream” which spread awareness about the mistreatment of certain races. Thank you MLK, miss you lowkey.
Teacher Prep Days · Throughout The Months
Every once in a while, typically on a Friday, teachers will need a day to prepare for upcoming events in the school. These are sprinkled throughout the year and I’m unaware of just how many there will be or the exact dates. But I can assure you, it’ll be really nice to have a couple days off!
Spring Break · Some Time In March
Spring Break is the most exciting of the list, being a whole week off! However, the date it will begin isn’t registered on the FWISD calendar (which is what I use to find these dates). But like I said, it will persist for a week.
Well, that’s about all I had to share! Sorry if the off days are a bit of a scarcity… but just so you know, you can check the calendar (click here) yourself! I may have missed something! Thank you for reading. Goodbye, cardinals!
