1. Dachshund
If you love little dogs this one’s for you. With it’s droopy ears and short little legs, who wouldn’t say dachshund’s aren’t cute?! Dachshund’s originate form Germany and were used to hunt badgers. “Dach” meaning badger and “hund” meaning dog. Some in Germany might still use these little dogs to hunt badgers, but many have ended this tradition.
2. Pug
There is one dog breed that if you say you don’t love, I will be concerned. That breed is the pug! Pugs are universally cute with their cute little smooshed faces, how could you not love them? Did you know that Pugs are one of them oldest dog breeds in the world? If you have a family, this is the dog for you. Most people think that family dogs are just golden retrievers, but Pugs are just as good as golden retrievers and make for great cpompanions!
3. Golden Retrievers
This is a fan favorite. With their fun and outgoing personality, you can never be mad at a golden retriever! -Well, unless they accidentally eat chocolate cake on Valentine’s day. Golden retrievers are amazing for families. They love people, and are so gentle around kids. Golden Retrievers were actually once hunting dog, so they are very smart.
4. Corgi’s
Just so you know, you might have to look a little farther down to see this dog breed as Corgi’s are very short. Every wonder jusr why Corgi’s are so short? Well, Corgi actually translates to”dwarf dog”. Corgi’s are very adorable, but I bet you wouldn’t guess that they are actually very energetic. They love running and hiking, as they were actually ancestors of German Shepards. So next time you think Corgi’s are just cute and little dogs, think again!
There are hundreds of more dog breeds, but these are only some of my favorites. What’s your favorite dog breed?
