Percy Jackson is one of the most popular book series in the world. Last year, in December of 2023, the first episode of the new disney show ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ came out. The series has seemed to rise to popularity again. Maybe you have read the series when you were younger, or maybe you just recently tried to get into it. It might be a bit intimidating since the whole series had a total of around 34 books total in the ‘Riordan-verse’. theres 5 different series in this full universe: Percy Jackson and the olympians, Heroes of Olympus, The Kane Chronicles, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, and The Trials of Apollo. There are also ‘companion’ books such as: ‘The Demigod Files’, ‘The Demigod Diaries’, ‘Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods’, ‘Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes’, ‘Demigods and Magicians: Three Stories from the World of Percy Jackson and the Kane Chronicles’, ‘For Magnus Chase: Hotel Valhalla Guide to the Norse Worlds: Your Introduction to Deities, Mythical Beings, & Fantastic Creatures’, ‘Camp Half-Blood Confidential’, ‘Brooklyn House Magician’s Manual’, ‘9 From the Nine Worlds’, ‘Camp Jupiter Classified: A Probatio’s Journal’, and ‘The Sun and the Star’.
So now, I’ll tell you what order to read these books. Take note that you can really read The Kane Chronicles and Magnus chase books whenever you like but it would probably make more sense with some context. S0 here is the order you should read the book series’ for the first time:

In case maybe you’ve never heard of this series before or you just want a small Summary of this series; Percy Jackson and the Olympians is about a young boy named Percy Jackson. He had been thrown around from school to school, and overall, he is a troubled kid. But one day, when his teacher suddenly looks un-human, he find out the greek myths his mother used to tell him weren’t myths. He then discovers Camp Half-blood, a camp for other demigods like Percy. Just as he thought he would finally feel at home somewhere he gets accused of stealing Zeus’ lightning bolt. The first book follows Percy and his friends as they try to prove his innocence by finding the real lightning thief. The rest of Percy Jackson and the olympians follows Percy, as he finds himself getting into other amounts demigod trouble with monsters, gods, and even other demigods
Heroes of Olympus shows you as the ‘seven’ of the great prophecy venture together to defeat Gaea, and bring both the Roman and Greek camps together that had been fighting for centuries. It shows the group face big obstacles, together but also alone.
The Trials of Apollo follows the former god Apollo in his human form, Lester Papadopoulos, who had been cursed by Zeus to be a mortal. He meets new friends and trains, he finds out he has to find 5 oracles to return back to his Apollo form.
Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard is about the young homeless boy Magnus Chase that meets his uncle. His uncle tells Magnus that he is the son of a Norse god, but Magnus dies fighting a giant and wakes up in Valhalla where he must find his fathers lost sword.
The Kane Chronicles follows Carter and Sadie Kane as they find out that they are one of the most powerful magicians born in centuries. The egyptian gods begin to wake and the Kane’s have to fight evil forces to keep peace.
