Well, it’s that time of year again, everyone. Spooks and spectres walk amongst the living and fear flows through the wind itself.
So in other words, it’s October. October’s a pretty big month in the year. It marks the transition from lazy summer days to soothing fall afternoons. And that’s why I’ve made it my job to inform you of a couple of upcoming important events for the school. This is going to be a multi-part series of articles that’s divided among months, with this being the first part of the series. Enjoy!
The End Of Hispanic Heritage Month
On October fifteenth of 2024, Hispanic Heritage month will be officially over. But to celebrate its conclusion, Loteria will be played in the cafeteria for birdie bucks. It’s a game akin to bingo, and I’d encourage some of you to try it. I’d like to reiterate that playing is for a fee of one birdie buck, so make sure not to play too much! And speaking of birdie bucks…
The Birdie Bucks Store Has Opened
Yes, you heard that right, reader! The birdie bucks store has officially opened and can get you rewards that grant you a varying degree of entertainment. This includes free dress days, a gym bag (which is the most expensive item), jibbitz, and the most popular thing you can purchase, which is the ability to request a song to play over the intercom during any given passing period. My only request is that you pick songs that are… you know. Actually good. So far we’ve had “Baby” by Justin Bieber and “Baby Shark” as our highlights. Send help.
Halloween Is Coming
And now for the part you’ve been waiting for. Halloween is coming up, and I myself am excited. You may want to consider if you want to go trick-or-treating or not. And here’s the kicker- if you use enough birdie bucks to have free dress code, you could potentially wear your halloween costume to school! (As long as it’s approved. I don’t know the boundaries on the “free dress day in exchange for birdie bucks” situation). But it’ll certainly be fun to show up dressed to impress!
That’s all for this month! Expect another article detailing upcoming events next time! Until then, cardinals.
