At McLean, not only do you get your core classes, but you also get options to have other classes called electives. Even if you get double blocked, you can still have space for at least one elective! To make things even better, you also get to pick your electives and therefore focus in some periods. 

There are many different electives you can pick from like Band or Theatre. These electives offer a wide variety of different types of knowledge that can help you in the future. You can pick up a new hobby like playing an instrument or making art. You might also learn a new language like French or Spanish. If that’s not your type of thing, there’s also athletics! Athletics is a class that you can take to improve your athleticism and learn many new things about how to take care of your body. Lastly there is also CTE, also known as technological science where you can learn many new things like how to code and type.

Different people enjoy diffretn things, so choose the elective that is best for you!
