You might have lived in Fort Worth your whole life, or maybe you’re new here. Either way, I’m sure that at some point you’ve wondered what to do on a Saturday or Sunday. If so, here are some places in Fort Worth that you should definitely check out.
1.The Fort Worth Stockyards
Looking for a country city? We’ve got you covered! The Stockyards has so many fun things to do, and if you come during Rodeo season it’s even better. You can explore, watch races, or even see bull riding.
2.The Fort Worth Zoo
If you love animals, this place is for you! With the zoo’s newest animals, the cheetahs and the lions, there is definitely something in there for you. If you love all thing cute, I suggest going to see some meerkats.
3.The Kimbell Art Museum
Filled with all the art you could think of, it opened October 4th 1972. If you’re looking for a place to think, trust me this is it. The Kimbell Art Museum has about 350 beautiful works of art.
4.Sundance Square
Downtown Fort Worth is a beautiful place, but you might be thinking, there’s too much walking. Is Sundance Square even worth it? Believe me, it is. The beautiful scenery makes everything perfect, and if you come in the winter, there’s a huge christmas tree too. Not only is Sundance Square so pretty, it’s also a very clean enviorment with live music sometimes.
5.Bass Performance Hall
I can’t even say how amazing Bass Hall is, when you walk in you feel magical. It has been around since May 1998 and the ushers and workers there are unbelievably nice. So many performances have gone on here, there have been musicals, shows, and even just symphony orcheastras.
So if you’re looking for something to do on those Saturdays and Sundays, maybe try one of these. I’ve only mentioned a few of the attractions Fort Worth has to offer, so do some exploring of your own!
