Upcoming Movies For 2025
• Dog Man – Dreamworks Animation
I’m assuming that many of you reading this article have read the Dog Man series before in their childhood, and some may still read them. We have news regarding the Dog Man franchise – we’re getting one new book, a video game, and, MOST importantly, a movie! We’re finally getting Dog Man to the big screen after 8 years! In this movie, when a cop and a dog are injured on the job, a surgery saves their lives, which changes the course of history and creates something that’s part man, part dog, and all hero! As Dog Man learns how to protect and serve the city, he must stop his arch-nemesis, Petey The Cat (World’s Most Evil Cat), to save the entire planet. Fun Fact: Did you know that Dav Pilkey (The original author of the Dog Man books) will return and be a writer for the movie? If you enjoyed the books, then I can clarify you that you would definitely have a blast with this one!(Comedy/Adventure) (Rated PG)
• Captain America: Brave New World – Marvel Studios
Captain America: Brave New World is the 35th installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and it is about Sam Wilson (Captain America) taking on the role of the new Captain America! The movie will be about Sam Wilson, who is involved in an incident that has happened to the United States’ newly elected president, Thaddeus Ross. Before things get any worse, Sam must find a reason for all of this before time runs out. The movie will release on February 14th, 2025 making it the first MCU project to release on 2025 (Not Including “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”!) (Action/Sci-Fi) (Rated PG-13)
• How To Train Your Dragon (2025) – Dreamworks Animation
Did you know that Dreamworks’ “How To Train Your Dragon” from 2010 is now getting a live-action remake? Well, if you didn’t know that, then now you know! The new live-action remake will follow the same plot as the original movie. Hiccup is a young Viking teenager in a place where his tribe’s tradition is to fight and hunt dragons. Hiccup has a weird sense of humor that makes him a misfit, although his father is the clan chief. His goal is to prove to everyone that he is a true Viking. When he befriends an injured dragon (Toothless), he strives to find a way to live in harmony between humans and dragons. If you loved the original film, then you will love this film! Fun Fact: Did you know that the original “How To Train Your Dragon” actually originated from a book made Cressida Cowell originally published February 1, 2003? The live-action debut will be released on June 13th, 2025! (Adventure) (Rated PG)
• Superman (2025) -DC Studios
Superman (2025)/Superman: Legacy is an upcoming film in the DC Universe. This film will focus on the journey of Superman (Clark Kent), a young reporter at The Daily Planet who struggles to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as his natural self because he lives in a world where people only misunderstand him and are afraid of him. Because of that, Clark will have to learn how to use his powers correctly. While there isn’t much information on the film, we at least know when it is to be released on the big screen, and that release date will be on July 11, 2025! Fun Fact: Did you know that July 11th is the father’s birthday of James Gunn, the director of this movie? (Action/Adventure) (Rated PG-13)
• Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 – Blumhouse Productions
Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 is an upcoming horror movie after the events that occurred in the first film. The movie will continue the journey of Mike and Abby investigating the haunted animatronics and their relationships with the haunted pizzeria, but there will be no second chances. Fun Fact: Filming for the movie was originally going to happen on July 1st, 2024, but then got delayed to October 27th which was the same day where the first movie was released! Freddy Fazbear will hit the big screen again on December 5th, 2025! (Horror) (Rated PG-13)
