Greetings, cardinals! Welcome to Mclean Middle, or welcome back if you’re returning for eighth grade. We hope your first two weeks of school have been enjoyable here. I’d like to inform you all about some things that new students can do here at Mclean to enjoy their time. While middle school might be challenging, I’d like to brief you on a few things. Without further ado, here’s a basic introduction to Mclean Middle.
First of all, there’s a great selection of new electives. At the 6th grade center, you may have only had two electives, while you have three here. How lucky you are! You have an opportunity to get an extra elective. Perhaps you’re in a crowd of people looking for something new? You’re in luck. There’s a bunch more now! Orchestra, Spanish, Yearbook, and JCC to name a few. For more information about the electives, I’d recommend asking the teachers of said classes about information on them. If you perhaps want to change your schedule to try any electives, contact your counselor.
Here’s another thing I’d like to brief you on- you now have lockers. You can use them to store extra luggage that cannot be held while traveling. For example, say a teacher just gave you a humongous textbook, and you don’t want to haul that around all day in your backpack. I’d store that textbook in my locker if I were you. Also, make sure to pick up a safe and secure combination that only you know.
That’s all I’d like to brief you on, cardinals. Stay safe, and have a great day. 😀
