The spring play, “Back to the 80’s”, signup sheets are live and going on right now. If acting or tech sounds interesting, you should definitely give it a try. This could be a good chance to discover a new hobby and maybe a passion for theater. Back to the 80’s is about a teen, Mary Fitzfry (gender casting may vary depending on auditions and some may be double casted) who goes back in time from a proffesser, and they find themselves in the 1980s pop culture. The main lead finds themselves around familiar faces from movies and tv shows such as: Weird Science, Miami Vice, Die Hard, Knight Rider, Ferris Bueler’s day off, Who’s the Boss?, and many others. Mrs. Blizzard says “This hilarious parody makes all ages cheer “I love the 80’s!”.
After signing up here and filling out this form to audtion for an acting role in the play, you will show up in the auditorium at your designated time. Once you get there, you will be handed out a excerpt of the script to read for a specific part. To prepare, you could ask Mrs. Blizzard for a script to practice beforehand or find some online.
Applying for tech is also another great option. If how things work, messing with the lights and sound, and everything behind the scenes interests you, then you should apply for tech with this link.
