Hello Cardinals! This year’s cross country season has started out great. The first day was on Wednesday, so your chance to get in has expired. However, you may come see our runners on Saturday at Southwest Christian for their first meet.

Each day for Cross Country you have to wake up pretty early. Warm-ups start at 7:15 and running starts around 7:25. Every day we run around 2 miles. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are street running days, while Tuesdays and Thursdays are track days. On Fridays, runners will run to Smoothie King and get smoothies to finish off the week of hard work.

Cross Country can actually be fun, believe it or not. Running around the neighborhood and through the streets to TCU can have a positive effect on your mind. If you think you can’t do it, you’re wrong, because every runner can do it if they have the right mindset. Drinking lots of water is also very important, and whatever you eat and put in your body will fuel you for the next run, so eating the right way is very important. Thank you for reading!
