Do a good deed, give to those in need

When you think of Thanksgiving, you think of the food and the family gatherings. But, thanksgiving is also about giving, and this year Mclean is going to keep on giving.

From November 29th – December 3rd, Mclean is having a canned food and toy drive. The canned food is for the Tarrant Area Food Bank, and the toys are being collected for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots.

Why should I donate?

For every 10 cans or for every 10 dollar toy you donate, you get a “Themed Dress Pass” for a day during Finals Weeks. You can get a maximum of three of these passes. Not only that, but if you bring at least 2 cans, you will be entered into a raffle for fabulous prizes.

What are the theme days?

Tuesday 12/14 – Favorite Holiday Character
Wednesday 12/15 – Wacky Dress/Ugly Sweater
Thursday 12/16 – Festive Holiday Wear

How do I donate?

Turn in your cans and toys to the front foyer before school Monday – Friday,
November 29th – December 3rd.

Who made this possible?

The canned food and toy drive is sponsored by Mclean’s National Junior Honor Society and YV4C.

Make sure to donate canned food and toys so that even if you don’t win the fabulous prizes, you’ll win the fabulous feeling of knowing you helped someone.
