Reading into being a Library Aid

You‌ ‌may‌ ‌love‌ ‌reading,‌ ‌or‌ ‌you‌ ‌may‌ ‌hate it.‌ ‌If‌ ‌you‌ ‌love‌ ‌reading,‌ ‌being‌ ‌a‌ ‌library‌ ‌aid‌ ‌
might‌ ‌be‌ ‌something‌ ‌for‌ ‌you‌ ‌to‌ ‌read‌ ‌into.‌ ‌

Being a library aid is a lot of fun. You get to spend an entire period helping in the library amidst all the books. It’s pretty laid back so you often have time to do work for other classes or enjoy one of the many books you’re surrounded by.

While being a library aid is for the most part laid back, that doesn’t mean you can blow off your responsibilities. You’re assigned a fiction section for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and a nonfiction section for Tuesdays and Thursdays. You’re expected to check these sections on your respected days and fix any books not in order.

Along with having a section, you also have to check in books, help students and classes find and check out books, and sometimes do other jobs from Mrs. Truss or another teacher or administrator.

You have to sign up to be a library aid. When you get your elective form for next year, make sure you fill out the separate form for being a library aid otherwise you won’t be considered for the elective.

Being a library aid is an awesome choice of electives. While it doesn’t give you a credit, it’s pretty easy and you often get time for other work. Being a library aid is definitely something you should read into.
